Grey Noise was born from internal conflict, from moments when decisions overlap and thoughts collide like layered frequencies inside the mind. It is not noise that is heard, but a state that is lived.

In the opening, sweet orange and bergamot ignite the composition with a luminous surge, a first flash of clarity within ambiguity. Black pepper slips in with precise sharpness, planting a measured tension. It does not shout. It signals that something is taking shape.

Florals and chamomile descend like a brief pause, a transient calm that does not erase the conflict, but tempers it.

At the heart, black tea flows like contemplation itself. Mango appears with an unexpected nuance, like a bold idea carving a new path through mental static. The typewriter ink accord emerges as a symbol of clarity born from friction, the moment when thought, after long debate, finally crystallizes.

Here, Turkish rose and ylang-ylang meet an in-house date extract crafted from three carefully selected varieties: Khalas, Sukkari, and Halawi. A controlled warmth. A restrained sweetness. An elegance that does not seek attention, but anchors it.

The base forms a grounded return to equilibrium: Atlas cedarwood, deep patchouli, oakmoss, and a subtle touch of costus lend a quiet, tactile depth. This foundation is elevated by a privately distilled oud from Sumbawa and Mentarang, refined and clear in presence, neither smoky nor animalic. Threads of white ambergris glide through the structure, adding a soft radiance that feels closer to light than scent.

Grey Noise is not a transition from darkness to light. It is the realization that light was present all along.

In the end, the wearer stands steady, as hesitation transforms into clarity and inner noise resolves into unwavering balance.
